WorldSkills 2011 in London

On October 5 the WorldSkills competition 2011 opened its gates on the ExCel exhibition in London. Apprentices and trainees from all around the world (who are currently being trained in an occupation) were competing against each other in teams using the skills of their profession. The teams qualified for the WorldSkills 2011 by winning the national qualification competitions in their countries. In total more than 1,000 young people from over 50 countries were competing in 46 professions.

For 20 years Festo Didactic has been supporting the WorldSkills competition of mechatronics as a global partner. This year, 2011, Festo Didactic sponsores the competitions of mechatronics, mobile robotics and polymechanics delivering the equipment and learning systems.

Latest information from the competition

For the first time Festo Didactic is presenting WorldSkills and the company itself on a Facebook website. Here you can read the latest news about the preparations and, during the competition, see pictures and videos from London every day.
