Currently, everyone is talking about Industry 4.0 and the many different explanations of its meaning. Particularly people working in lead positions who are becoming more and more confronted with Industry 4.0 should be aware of its impacts. There are varied opportunities on how companies can improve their productivity, quality and processes in this context. However, before starting an implementation, managers need to have a basic understanding of the core elements and technologies and how their interaction can lead to Industry 4.0.
