New AFB factory in Moscow, Russia

AFB factory launched at Festo Didactic Russia.


On June 18, 2012 the new AFB training factory launched at the Festo Training Center in Moscow, Russia.

The learning system was moved and reinstalled in the new training laboratory for automation technology at Festo Didactic in Moscow after commissioning and trainings, which were held by Eckhard von Terzi and Wolfgang Eckart.

The new hybrid technology attracted attention of the following companies and educational institutions:

  • Atlas Copco
  • Sandvik
  • Evraz Group
  • Tauras Fenix
  • Shell
  • Gas Network The state unitary company of Sverdlovsk region
  • Moscow State Technological University Stankin
  • Baltic State Technological University
  • Surgut Professional College
  • Ozersky Technological College etc.

Many of these visitors decided to visit the trainings and seminars of Festo Didactic. The AFB factory provides the following training courses:

  • PLC programming (Simatic S7-300)
  • SCADA
  • Field bus technology (Industrial Ethernet, ASi, CAN)
  • Process Automation – fluid/bulk materials
  • Computer vision systems (based on SBOC)
  • MES systems and logistics
  • Pneumatic drives, valves and valve terminals
  • Electric drives (DC/AC drive, frequency converter, Stepper motor)
  • Multiple servo drives robot programming

The colleagues from headquarters, who had their first visit in Russia, saw the sightseeings of the Moscow center together with their Russian colleagues in the evenings after work.
