The microcontroller monitors the supply voltage, controls the motor and manages the digital and analogue inputs and outputs of the Robotino®.

Assembly and connection

As is also the case with the embedded PC, the microcontroller is mounted directly on the main PCB in the control unit of the Robotino®. It’s connected to the I/O interface, all motors and incremental encoders, and the embedded PC. An FPGA is also used.
