Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC)

Summary:
NSCC comprises of 13 campuses located throughout the Province of Nova Scotia, on the east coast of Canada. Based on feedback from industry, NSCC began involvement in Mechatronics, in 2004, by competing in their first National Mechatronics Competition with Skills Canada.

Since then, the college has hosted Provincial Skills Competitions and has sent the winning teams to the National Competitions annually. All the hard work resulted in a Bronze Medal at the 2009 competition.

The development of Mechatronics at the college has involved Festo Didactic training materials and hardware. These include Pneumatic Bench TP101s, MPS Stations for PLC training, applications in Electro-Pneumatics, PCSs with Process Automation Stations, Mechatronics Assistants and Cosimirs with Easyports.
