For Festo your safety has the highest priority. Since ever Festo has set a high value on safe products. Since many years common safety standards within Europe has been achieved by EU-directives. Manufactures has to follow common safety standards and certify this by putting the CE mark on the product and by issuing a certificate of conformity. For the products of Festo Didactic the following EU directives are of special relevance:

Machine Directive 2006/42/EG
The directive defines machine as “an assembly, fitted with or intended to be fitted with a drive system other than directly applied human or animal effort, consisting of linked parts or components, at least one of which moves, and which are joined together for a specific application”. This concerns the products MPS®, Robotino® and MecLab®. Training Packages are no machine since they are a pure collection of components. Therefore Training Package must not have a certificate of conformity.

However, our Training Packages fulfill all relevant safety standards when they are used as intended.
