Description of partner organisation

The Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA) was founded in 1962. The university is privately run and has its main campus in Guadalajara. Nine more campus locations are in cities throughout the country. UNIVA offers high school, undergraduate and graduate degrees and has five academic schools. In total, over 20 bachelor’s degree courses and about 20 graduate programs are run. UNIVA was born with a clear educational horizon, oriented to research and teaching of science, and to the integral formation of consciences. Since its foundation, the university has manifested its Catholic identity.

Description of FACT Centre

In the FACT Centre Zapopan, students can attend courses on pneumatics, electropneumatics, PLC, servo positioning and robotics. The courses are delivered by experienced trainers who use modern didactical methods and concepts. The learning equipment represents the latest state of the art and gives students the possibility to test their newly acquired knowledge in practical applications. All training devices of the FACT Centre have been designed according to international industry standards. The maximum number of students of the trainings in the FACT labs is about 15 persons per technology.
