Festo Learning Center Midwest is now open for Business

On April 4, 2016 the Festo Learning Center Midwest held its first hands-on training at its new location at the Festo Regional Service Center in Mason, OH.

The Learning Center which is co-located with the Festo Regional Service Center serves manufacturing companies and colleges in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana offering a wide range of industrial training solutions. This includes Festo’s classic short-term training programs like Basic Pneumatics and Hydraulics, but also classes such as Problem Solving Techniques, Lean Production & Value Stream Mapping, Maintenance Strategies & TPM as well as long-term workforce solutions based on the German dual education system.

In August 2016 Festo Didactic in partnership with Sinclair Community College and supported by TechSolve will launch a 2-year Mechatronics Apprenticeship program piloting a first cohort of 12 apprentices. This program combines mechanical and electrical engineering, controls engineering and computer science. The mechatronic technician will be awarded an Associate’s Degree and will be able to work as: Maintenance Technician, Automation Specialist, Service Technician, and/or Manufacturing Technician.
