First steps towards creating production processes
Create sequential production sequences using the graphical layout display. You select a workstation and choose one of the process tasks displayed that this station can perform. You then decide on the subsequent process. This can be a transport operation or a subsequent process task. This allows you to create and execute your own production sequences even before you have learned the production plan language.
Creating a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
An MES system must perform the following tasks:
- Communication with the planning or ERP system
- Material flow control
- Planning, creation and monitoring of the production sequences
- Implementation of communication with the automation units and resources
The automatically created MES system includes an extremely powerful material flow controller and in particular offers a sophisticated solution for the two communication interfaces. This allows you to concentrate on the planning and optimisation of the production sequences. Powerful debugging tools are provided for support.
Production management with graphical user interface
The production management system consists of a Microsoft Access database that you can access using a very user-friendly graphical interface:
- Warehouse administration
- Bills of material with work plans
- Resource administration
- Order administration
- Scheduling of orders
This allows you to manually reproduce the basic structures of a planning system. The database can also be used to integrate an external planning system or ERP system.
