Procurement logistics
At CEBIT 2007 , Chemnitz Technical University presented a procurement logistics process in which a wireless transmission technique is used to transmit all of the relevant information. Orders are sent via WLAN to Robotino®, which then transports the goods from the loading ramp into the warehouse.

Automated guided vehicle system with gripper system
In the Science House in Europapark Rust, Robotino® shows what it can do in an elegant logistics application combined with MPS®. An industrial gripper system and additional position controller turn Robotino® into a flexible AGVS (automated guided vehicle system).

Official competition equipment for the WorldSkills international competition
The range of tasks includes replacing components, installing new sensors and handling components, troubleshooting for hardware and software, and creating elegant applications using the Robotino® View graphical programming environment.

Navigation system
Intelligent, powerful navigation for mobile systems with Robotino® can be implemented using the NorthStar indoor navigation system. The NorthStar Projector generates IR (infra red) light spots on a ceiling. These are detected by the NorthStar Detector and analysed to determine position and orientation by triangulation.

Vision system and object detection
Professional, high performance ERSP software from Mobile Vision Technologies provides Robotino® with interfaces for the vision system, object recognition and navigation. Robotino® can thus be used for professional pattern recognition, using a camera to create regional maps that enable positioning to an accuracy of 10 cm.
