Programmable logic controllers, TP 301

Programmable logic controllers, TP 301

Training aims

  • Benefits of the PLC compared to conventional solutions such as electrical, electropneumatic or electrohydraulic solutions
  • Functions of system components of a PLC
  • Commissioning a PLC
  • Application criteria for mechanical, optical, capacitive and inductive proximity switches
  • Sequence control and parallel logic
  • Systematic programming of a PLC in accordance with international standard IEC 1131-3
  • IEC 1131-3 programming languages: Function Block Diagram, Ladder Diagram, Statement List, Structured Text and Sequence Language

To complete the exercises in this training package, you need a controller with 24 V DC input and output signals. The actuators and sensors can be connected via 4 mm safety plugs.
