Programming of PLCs

Designed to further develop delegates' programing skills, the course aims toimprove their ability to convert control tasks to fully operational systems.
The course continues on from the 'Introduction to PLC's (E311)' course, withthe development of more complex control problems.
Additional functions such as timers and counters are used with sequential andconditional programs plus manual/auto and reset control functions.
A strong emphasis is placed on safety and appropriate working practicesthroughout the course, especially during the practical sessions.
Training Outcomes
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Analyse control tasks
- Understand and utilise timers, counters, flags and registers
- Program manual and sequential operations
- Test and monitor PLC applications using PLC test systems
- Modify PLC programs
- Produce and understand various types of documentation associated with a PLC control system
- Fault find using the capabilities of the PLC
N.B. Course contents are only a guide and will be covered as far as timepermits.

All personnel involved with the programing of a PLC system.
